Policy

The purpose of this policy and procedure is to establish guidelines for the appropriate use of an international employer of record (IEOR) at Wake Forest University to ensure that all laws in the locality of the international employee are followed. The IEOR is a professional employer organization (PEO) that partners with the University in the hiring of workers in other countries. For compliance purposes, the IEOR becomes the worker’s employer of record and is responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance with local employment laws, tax withholding, and other employment-related tasks required by foreign or local law.
